Samarbeidsutvalget
Samarbeidsutvalget, is the joint career political student commitee for the working life committees at HiB and UiB. Springbrettet is the head of the committee and it puts the respective companies in contact with the different committees. We also give our support by marketing the corporate presentations at the various faculties/departments. The following student organizations are a part of the committee:
S.A.U establishes contact between students of the Social Sciences Faculty at UiB and the representatives of the professional life. We offer services and create events which give employers a possibility to present themselves to the students at UiB. S.A.U. wants to teach students to be understanding towards working life and inform them about different career possibilities. By our work in S.A.U. we want to help students to identify their potential within a big job market.
Næringslivsutvalget (NU) at Høgskolen i Bergen (HiB) is a big student organization whose job is to generate good relations between students at HiB and both the community and the professional life. NU helps students to establish networks and find a job, by organizing corporate presentation arrangements, as well as an annual Career Day. NU acts as economy and trade contact point at HiB. We manage the stands at HiB, put forth job offers and discount agreements, as well as give advice and guidance to enterprises which want to introduce themselves to students at HiB.
Juristforeningen in Bergen Juristforeningen serves law students by introducing a good social and cultural offer to them, in addition to arranging events with benefits to their course of studies. Juristforeningen consists of many smaller groups and as a member one can both get involved actively and at the same time take part in our various events.
IAESTE Bergen (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) holds as the main point the exchange of students who are doing higher technical studies. We exchange trainee jobs internationally. Most of the traineeships take place in the summer so that students can take a summer job abroad (between the spring and autumn semester) which is relevant to their studies. Ever year IAESTEs Næringslivsdagar (IN) takes place in Realfagbygget, where students of technical courses and different enterprises meet.
A.U.P Arbeidslivutvalget at the Faculty of Psychology (AUP) is an independent organization which works to improve the contact between students of the faculty and the professional life in the region of Bergen. AUP wants the representatives of the professional life to learn the difference between the educational programs and the area of competence. At the faculty, AUP hopes to become an organization which will gather all the students and make them feel they are always welcome.
Fagutvalget ved Institutt for Informatikk (II) main task is to act as an intermediary between students and the institute board. We arrange various activities to improve school life for those who study at the institute. The course committee represents everybody who takes courses at II,focusing on students who are working towards a bachelor's degree or master thesis in informatics. We also arrange corporate presentations and social gatherings.
